My blog has always been at Homeschoolblogger, but since I’m no longer on staff there, I decided I’d like to try having my blog on my own site. I don’t want to lose my readership at HSB, so I’ll continue posting there and also post here for the time being. Most of the posts will [...]

Oh my goodness, our life was taken over by Lego! This year, both boys were on the Lego team for First Lego League. It seemed like our younger son was already on the team last year since he was at all the meetings, but this year it was official. Once again, they advanced to state [...]

Do rabbits have paws or feet? I think paws. Anyway, as promised, I am happy to introduce you to the happy tenant of the rabbit hutch I built. Meet Smudge: Isn’t he cute?!? I should probably explain his name. Or maybe I should just show you. See the smudge on his side/back? He has one [...]

The term ‘healthier’ being relative…these are more healthy than the original recipe. I found this version over at Heavenly Homemaker. Apparently, she took a basic recipe and substituted some healthier ingredients. This version does have a little different taste to it, but it’s good! I enjoy it alone, but I think some vanilla ice cream [...]
Yes, it’s true. Officially, I will no longer be the Homeschoolblogger.com/Homesteadblogger.com tech support person after tomorrow, although I will be hanging around in the background a bit after that to continue training Eric and Paul, who are taking over those duties. It feels really weird. I’ve been very involved with HSB off and on ever [...]
My dear friend and sister-in-crime, Dianna, has awarded me with the You Make Me Smile award. Isn’t that nice of her? In fact, it made me smile, but I guess I can’t award her back with it. Rats! I will sort of copy her post so if you aren’t familiar with the award, you will [...]
I just happened to look as I was signing in and it says I’ve made 99 entries at HSB, so I guess this will be #100. Wow, it seems like I blog so infrequently, how did I get that many posts? Apparently I don’t remember all the stuff I write. :-) So, again, it has [...]
You know how when you have so much going on, you don’t even have time to tell people what’s going on and even when you finally get time, you don’t even know where to start? Well, that’s where I am now. So I’ll give a quick run-down to at least get up to speed and [...]
I think this is the first one I’ve ever seen. He (she?) took up a position on our gazebo right outside our door and was very patient while I took pictures. I thought this one turned out kind of neat looking.
Is it just me, or is it hard to be positive a lot of the time? My life is pretty good, everybody is healthy, we’re provided for, and I’m doing what I always wanted to do (be a mom and a teacher). Yet it seems like little things have a way of getting under my [...]
