Can you hear me now?
I discovered something really cool! Since my pinched nerve is acting up again, it’s become kind of difficult to type. I went hunting for some free software that would dictate my speaking as text on the screen. Come to find out, Vista already has a program built into it for just that purpose. It can be a little irritating sometimes, but it works pretty well for the most part and doesn’t hurt my arm which was kind of the point. So right now I’m actually typing this post by speaking into my microphone.
Tuesday night I went to a presentation and learned about essential oils, in particular those that were used in the Bible. Thankfully, my sweet friend Gina is already posting about it on her blog so I can send you there to find out what we learned. It’s very interesting and I had some good results using wintergreen on the main area of pain related to my pinched nerve. Unfortunately, I’m now out of my sample of oil and need to get some more.
In other news, I’m almost done buying Christmas gifts. Last year I was pretty much done before Thanksgiving, but this year it just didn’t work out that way. I’m glad to be as far along as I am considering all that’s been going on lately. I do have our Christmas decorations up, including the outside lights. I got them up just in time before a snowstorm hit.
I’ve been looking for more new recipes to try for Christmas. I’ll be sure to share those that are successful here on my blog. My younger son just informed me that I shouldn’t forget to make my traditional cut-out cookies. I think he’s afraid I’ll be so busy trying new recipes that I’ll forget to make his favorites. Like that would ever happen!
Until next time, 10-4 good buddies! Over and out!
